Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser. They allow a website to recognise your browser and remember certain information, such as your sign-in session or security tokens. This policy explains the cookies used on medicalarteries.com and the choices you have.

2. Cookies We Use

We only use cookies that are strictly necessary for the secure operation of the platform. We do not use advertising, marketing, analytics or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not use cookies to build a profile of you.

The cookies the platform sets are:

Cookie Purpose Type Lifetime
PHPSESSID Identifies your session so you remain signed in while using the platform (e.g., shopping cart and account pages). Essential 1 day, or until you sign out
csrf_token Security token that prevents cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks on forms that change data. Essential 1 hour from set
access_token Short-lived encrypted sign-in token used to authenticate API requests. Set only when you sign in. Essential 15 minutes
refresh_token Longer-lived token that securely renews your access token without asking you to sign in again. Set only when you sign in. Essential 7 days, or until you sign out

These cookies have the HttpOnly attribute where applicable (meaning JavaScript cannot read them, protecting them from cross-site scripting), and are sent over secure (HTTPS) connections. When you sign out, our sign-in cookies are cleared.

3. Third-Party Cookies

Third-party services may set their own cookies in specific circumstances:

  • Payment providers: when you pay for an order, the payment provider's own pages or overlay (Squad) may set cookies required to process and secure your payment. These are controlled by the provider.
  • Google Sign-in: if you choose to sign in with Google, Google may set its own cookies during the sign-in flow. These are governed by Google's privacy and cookie policies.

These third-party cookies appear only when you actively use the corresponding feature. We do not control them and we do not receive their content.

4. Managing Cookies

You can control and delete cookies using your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view, block or clear cookies for a specific website. Because the cookies we use are strictly necessary, blocking them may prevent the platform from working correctly — for example, you may not be able to sign in, add items to your cart or complete an order. For instructions, see the help menu of your browser or visit www.allaboutcookies.org.
